NGC 7023 — Iris Nebula

The Iris Nebula in Cepheus, about 1,300 light-years away — a bright reflection nebula lit by the young star HD 200775 at its heart. The star's blue light scatters off the dust around it, while the surrounding molecular cloud shows up as dark lanes and faint brown dust that stretches well beyond the bright core. Forty-eight hours of LRGB through the UltraCat 131 bring out that outer dust.
